Why Work with Jordan for EMDR Consultation?
Jordan is an EMDR Certified Therapist (by EMDRIA) offering EMDR Consultation. He works with clients utilizing EMDR for the alleviation of PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Panic and more…
Jordan primarily works with clients living with complex-traumatic stress or traumatic stress. But he also integrates EMDR into practice for those suffering from depression, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias. He has worked extensively with the LGBTQI+ community and cisgender women. Additionally, Jordan has taken EMDR and applied it to Phase of Life and Professional / Workplace issues with success, having worked with people ranging from 18 to 108 years old.
Jordan was introduced to EMDR in graduate school and trained in EMDR while working in a community mental health center. As such, he is versed at applying EMDR in complex situations, crisis situations and in the context of short-term, managed care counseling models.
Weaving basic protocols (A-TIP, EMD^, EMD”r” and EMDR) into more creative approaches (like drawing or other child protocols, DeTUR, Cognitive Interweaves, Flash, EMDR 2.0), Jordan thinks outside the box, adhering to the theory of Adaptive Information Processing and EMDR Approved Protocols. If he doesn’t know something he seeks answers either through his own consultation or digging into the wealth of information he has collected over the years (and is happy to share).
Jordan’s clients are seeking the healing power of EMDR for single-incident or more complex, multi-incident (or developmental) trauma or daily struggles.

Jordan thinks outside the box. He was originally trained by Roy Kiessling and EMDR Consultants and received consultation from a clinician who was one of the original EMDR practitioners specializing in clients with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Jordan has worked with clients living with DID and also works with clients who have dissociative symptoms block processing.
Jordan has also had a lot of success working with clients remotely. Since the pandemic, 3/4 of Jordan’s caseload for EMDR is through virtual services. This poses a unique challenge, especially if clients are not tech-savvy; so, Jordan has become versed at working with all forms of remote clients seeks EMDR. He can share his thoughts, wisdom, ideas on BLS beyond the standard eye movements or self-tapping, and more.
Jordan has come to see that EMDR is a powerful tool that requires comfort in both adhering to and navigating through EMDR. No one client is the same and, therefore, no one EMDR approach suffices.
Jordan works best with others seeking consultation who are out-of-the box thinkers. Clinicians who are willing to trust their clinical judgement (that trumps being rigid with the EMDR protocols) and, like Jordan, can admit when they don’t know something.
